Harish hits hundred, Parikshith sparkles

HYDERABAD: Y. Harish’s century (158, 17x4) and fine bowling by Parikshith (eight for 22) helped Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Jubilee Hills) score a 173-run win over Chirec Public School in the Air Tel Cup inter-school (under-13) cricket tournament here on Monday.

Jr. State hockey

Hyderabad Hockey Association will organise the junior State knock-out championship from November 11 at Gymkhana Grounds, according to P. Kantaiah, HHA secretary.

He also said that the fourth edition of the V. Purushotham Memorial Trophy inter-schools championship would commence from November 18 with 20 teams participating in it. HHA will also organise umpires clinic on November 8 at Begumpet Police Stadium from 5.00 p.m. All the umpires of the HHA are instructed to attend it without fail.
