Top brass has already arrived New Delhi: Organisation of the 2010 World Cup in India being on top of its agenda, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) will begin its week-long meeting here from Tuesday. The FIH President, Els van Breda Vriesman, and Secretary-General, Peter Cohen, have already arrived for the meeting and met some Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) officials. “The organisation of the 2010 World Cup in India would be one of the important issues to be discussed in the meeting. Besides, they will also take stock of the Promotion of Indian Hockey project,” IHF Secretary, K. Jothikumaran, said. The FIH will also hold a two-day meeting of its Executive Board starting Thursday. FIH’s Development and Coaching Committee will also be here to assess the recent appointment of Australia’s Ric Charlesworth as the Technical Director of Indian hockey. — PTI
