KOLENCHERRY: Annamalai University (Chidambaram) defeated Karnataka State Women’s University (Bijapur) 2-0 in the women’s opening round of the South Zone inter-university badminton championship here on Saturday. A series of walk-overs marked the opening day. The Kerala Sports Council President, T.P. Dasan, inaugurated the championship.
