MANGALORE: St. John’s Pre-University College (Shankarapura) and Govindadasa Pre-University College (Suratkal) posted wins in the Ultra Tech Cup organised by Dakshina Kannada District Cricket Association here on Thursday.
While St. John’s breezed to a five-wicket win over Sharada Pre-University College (Mangalore), Govindadasa beat St. Aloysius PU College (Mangalore) by four wickets in a low-scoring game.
The scores: Sharada PUC 151 in 34 overs (Faizal three for 35) lost to St. John’s 152 for five in 18.2 overs (Praveen 51 n.o); St. Aloysius 84 in 22.3 overs (Sachin four for 18, Shivaraj three for 23) lost to Govindadasa 85 for six in 32 overs. — Staff Correspondent
