BANGALORE: Sandeep Sejwal, Indian breaststroke ace, won the first medal for India in the swimming competition of the Asian Indoor Games at Macau on Tuesday, according to information reaching here.
Sejwal claimed the 100m breaststroke silver clocking 1:01.99 seconds and the gold went to Ryzkhov of Kazhakstan, who clocked 1:01.07s.
Shikha Tandon, with 26.22s, finished fifth in 50m freestyle for women, which was won by Binan Wu of China in 25.68s.
Richa Mishra also finished in the 200m individual medley for women, clocking 2:22.55s.
Hui Wai Sherry Tsai of Hong Kong won the event in 2:13.95 and in the men’s 200m individual medley, Rehan Poncha, clocking 2:04.23, finished fifth.
