Dubai: India’s Narain Karthikeyan is in Bahrain for the Australian V8 Supercars Desert 400 Series, which gets underway on Thursday. Karthikeyan will take part in an American V8 Speedcar race which is an exhibition event to be held on the sidelines of the series. He will join the ranks of World famous drivers like Ferrari and Benetton Formula One star Jean Alesi, who participated in over 200 Grand Prix in his career, and Johnny Herbert, Michael Schumacher’s teammate at Benetton in the mid-90s and double Grand Prix winner. Karthikeyan will conduct a number of promotional activities in Bahrain during the build-up to the Desert 400 weekend during which he will visit an Indian school for an autograph session. — PTI
