Andhra girls clinch title

Mysore: Andhra registered an exciting 32-28 win over Uttar Pradesh in its final league match to clinch the title in the senior girls’ section of the ASISC National basketball championship at the De Paul Residential School here on Sunday.

The results:

Senior girls: Final: Andhra Pradesh 32 (Yamini 12, Akansha 10) bt Uttar Pradesh 28 (Richa Bharathi 14, Stuti Lal 12).

Senior boys: North West & Jharkhand (joint winners, match abandoned due to rain).

Junior girls: Maharashtra 50 (Divyani 16) bt Uttar Pradesh 46 (Soumya 12).

Junior boys: Uttar Pradesh & Kerala (joint winners, match abandoned due to rain).
