TIRUCHI: Seven cases have been settled through mediation conducted at the District Court Complex here. This includes three cheque bounce cases and a civil case. Four mediators from the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Chennai, assisted by trained mediators in Tiruchi, split into four committees and took up 84 cases on Saturday. The mediation process was organised by the District Legal Services Authority. Each committee, comprising a mediator from the Chennai Centre and two from Tiruchi, took up around 20 cases. The mediators from the Chennai centre were Arvind P. Datar, H.S. Mohamed Rafi, D. Saravanan and Uma Ramanathan. The arrangements for the mediation were done by First Additional District Judge, Tiruchi, V. Ramamoorthy and other judicial officers.
