Special Correspondent

Chennai: The Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group has appealed to MLAs of all parties to reject the Bill to provide one year amnesty to owners and builders of unapproved multi-storeyed commercial buildings in Chennai. The Bill has been tabled in the current session of the State Assembly.

The Bill will help big builders and owners of unapproved commercial complexes who have repeatedly violated building norms, Bharat Jairaj, director, CAG, said in a press release on Thursday.
