Jayalalithaa condemns suspension of MLAs

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: The decision to suspend AIADMK MLAs for the rest of the current session is not only condemnable but also against democratic norms, Jayalalithaa, general secretary of the party, said here on Thursday.

In a statement, she said it was the democratic duty and right of her party MLAs to raise issue of threat to her life.

She alleged that her party members were suspended as they would have embarrassed the Government by exposing Bills to be taken up in the current session.
