IHF to rope in Charlesworth

TIRUCHI: Australian hockey great Ric Charlesworth will be appointed as the technical advisor for the Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams, according to K. Jothikumaran, Secretary-General, Indian Hockey Federation (IHF).

The appointment is likely to be made before the start of India’s campaign at the Olympic qualifiers in Chile.

“The IHF and Indian Women’s Hockey Federation are into the process of appointment with support of International Hockey Federation and Sports Authority of India,” said Mr. Jothikumaran, who was in Tiruchi on Monday to inaugurate the Special Development Centre for Hockey. — Sports Reporter
