Chennai: Durga puja celebrations have got under way at many places in the city.
On Sunday, Indian Coast Guard’s Eastern Region Commander Inspector General Rajendra Singh participated in the Durga puja celebrations held at the sailors’ accommodation at Mogappair.
Programme galore
Programmes have been arranged on each day of the festival, at the end of which the idol will be immersed in the sea. Families of Coast Guards will participate.
