PUDUKOTTAI: The Directorate of Health and Rural Welfare plans to fill up the posts of dental hygienist, refractionist and radiographer in government hospitals through direct recruitment from among the candidates who have registered their names with the Employment Exchange.
For the post of dental hygienist, candidates must have a pass in SSLC and qualified in Dental Hygienist Course of a recognised dental college or institute. In the case of qualified candidates, those with experience in dental hygiene with specific qualifications will be recruited.
For the post of refractionist, candidate should have passed the Matriculation or SSLC Examination of the Madras University or a recognised University or an equivalent examination approved by the Tamil Nadu State Recruitment Board. They should also possess a diploma in optician course.
For the post of radiographer, candidates should possess a pass certificate in the SSLC (old pattern) or a pass in Higher Secondary Education with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Zoology as subjects. Preference will be given to with a pass in Radiological Assistant course or with a pass in any one of the following examinations of Madras University or Annamalai University with Physics as major: B.A.; B.Sc; M.Sc; M.A.; B.Sc (Honours) or B.A. (Honours).
In a press release issued here on Saturday, Collector D. Uthirakkumaran said the qualified candidates who had not registered with the Employment Exchange here, could immediately register their names and submit their application to the Joint Director of Health and Rural Services, Pudukottai, with details such as name, employment registration number and date and community.
