TDP condemns attack on Nannapaneni

Special Correspondent

KURNOOL: Telugu Desam leader Bangi Ananthaiah and his supporters staged a novel protest here on Thursday to protest against the alleged attack on their leader Nannapaneni Rajakumari by Congress activists.

Mr. Ananthaiah, in the costumes of Mahatma Gandhi, undertook a march on the streets saying that the Mahatma was the most unhappy person for handing over power to the Congress.

‘Shameful act’

He said Member of Legislative Council Ganga Bhavani led such a shameful raid on the house of opposition leader. He said the incident had belittled the image of the Congress in the State.

In guise of the Mahatma, he delivered a speech at the collectorate saying the incident had deeply pained him (Mahatma) and he was regretting now for handing over power to such unsuitable persons.
