“DMK will be one among Muslim brethren”

CHENNAI: Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin has appealed to the Muslim community to continue to extend support to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Government and ignore the sustained mudslinging campaign by the Opposition.

“Whether in power or not, the DMK will be one among the Muslim brethren”, Mr. Stalin said while participating in an Iftar party organised by the Tamil Maanila Desiya League here on Monday.

The Minister said the DMK regime would always work towards alleviating the sufferings of the minorities and fight for their rights.

Information Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, Environment Minister, T.P.M. Mohideen Khan, Chennai Mayor M. Subramanian and president of the State Minorities Commission Vincent Chelladurai participated.

General secretary of the Tamil Maanila Desiya League, Thirupur Altaf, said minorities would always extend support to the DMK Government.
