Sarath, Premnath emerge champions

Chennai: S.R. Sarath of SBOA and S. Premnath of Hindu SSS were the boys’ Group I individual champions with 13 points each.

B. Harika Reddy (SBOA) was the girls’ Group I individual champion with 15 points, at the District inter-school aquatics championships which concluded at the Madras Seva Sadan, Orca Pool, on Sunday.

Bethel MHSS’s N. Arvind and Gulnaz Rawoof (Lady Andal) were the Group II boys’ and girls’ individual champions respectively.

M.B. Balakrishnan, who set a new National 100m backstroke record at the recently concluded Senior National Aquatic Championship at Goa, and his coach Chandrasekar were felicitated.

Neena Anand, Head, Branch Consumer Banking, ABN Amro Bank, Chennai, gave away the prizes.
