Double for Mohit

Chennai: India’s J. Mohit Mayur won the boys’ title in the Asian Tennis Federation under-14 tennis series which concluded at Colombo on Saturday. He beat fellow Indian Rajat Maheshwari 6-0, 6-1 in the final.

Earlier, Mohit defeated Syed Agil Seyd Naguid of Malaysia 6-0, 7-5 in the semifinals, while Rajat eased past Vietnam’s Thien Nguyen Hoang 6-0, 6-0.

Mohit also clinched the doubles title, partnering Hoang. The duo defeated India’s Sai-Teja Paladugu and Japan’s Ryoto Tachi 6-4, 6-2. — Sports Reporter
