Aman, Anwesha emerge the best

NEW DELHI: Aman Tokas of Ryan International School and Anwesha Hore of Jugla Singh Tairak Sangh were declared the ’best swimmers’ in the boys’ and girls’ sections respectively in the 43rd Delhi State aquatic championship that concluded at the Pacific Sports Complex Swimming Pool, Andrews Ganj, here on Sunday.

The honour in the age group section went to Dewesh Paliwal and Shloka Joshi respectively. The overall team championship was bagged by Jugla Singh Tairak Sangh for the 20th year on the trot.

Boys: Under-17: 50m freestyle: Tanuj Bhatla 26.88; 800m freestyle: Ashwani Tokas 10:17.35; 200m backstroke: Ashwani Tokas 2:36.35; 100m breaststroke: Gaurav Rathi 1:17.62; 50m butterfly: Mohit Kumar 28.68; 4x100m freestyle relay: Jugla Singh Tairak Sangh 4:22.33; Individual championship: Mohit Kumar and Ashwani Tokas, 35 points.

Under-15: 50m freestyle: Rishab 27.35; 800m freestyle: Dewesh 10:03.88 NMR; 200m backstroke: Dewesh 2:39.27; 100m breaststroke: Viplove Chaudhary 1:23.81; 50m butterfly: Prashant Tokas 29.67; 400m individual medley: Karan Singh 5:23.99; Individual championship: Karan Singh and Dewesh, 26 points.

Girls: Under-17: 50m freestyle: Shloka Joshi 30.33; 800m freestyle: Anwesha Hore 10:44.00; 200m backstroke: Anusnigdha 2:56.74; 100m breaststroke: Samridhi Bhutani 1:34.46; 50m butterfly: Shloka Joshi 32.32; 4x100m freestyle relay: JSTS ‘A’ 5:18.01; Individual championship: Anwesha Hore and Shloka Joshi, 35 points.

Under-15: 50m freestyle: Sanjana Bhanu 31.35; 800m freestyle: Shamita Choudhary 11:20.51; 200m backstroke: Netali 3:02.54; 100m breaststroke: Devyani Aggarwal 1:30.45; 50m butterfly: Akanksha Verma and Vasundhra Puri 34.67; 400m individual medley: Teesha Chugh 6:29.72; Individual championship: Devyani Aggarwal 35 points. — Special Correspondent
