Soundarya stars in AP’s win

HYDERABAD: Soundarya fashioned Andhra Pradesh’s 18-0 win over Jammu and Kashmir with five goals including a hat-trick in the 37th junior National girls’ hockey championship in Gwalior on Monday.

Ashwini and Mamata Sr. struck thrice each. Alekhya and captain Satyavathi scored two goals apiece, while Mamata Jr., Jyotsna and Anuradha netted once each to complete the tally.

In another match, Himachal Pradesh defeated Manipur 3-2.
