Opportunity to study in Ross School of Business

Candidates with GMAT score of 680 and above are eligible


HYDERABAD: Prospective MBA students with good GMAT score can look forward to admission in Stephen M. Ross School of Business from the University of Michigan.

Candidates with a GMAT score of above 680 and a minimum of three years of work experience can attend the ‘Meet Ross’ reception to be held on October 6 after a pre-registration in the admissions section of the Ross website.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hotel Taj Krishna. It is being organised by the University of Michigan India Alumni Association. The candidates can also contact Sudha Rani at 27902700 for registration.

Ranked among the top business schools by major publications and rankings, the Ross School of Business has noted professors such as C.K. Prahalad, Noel Trichy and Robert Quinn.

Focal areas

Management consulting, investment banking, marketing and general management are the focal areas of Ross MBAs, 95 per cent of whom received job offers by graduation in 2007. The MBA Class of 2007 had 33 per cent of international students and an equal proportion of women. The enrolment had an average GMAT score of 702 and an average experience of five years mirroring the competitive admissions.

“The Ross MBA programme allows students to apply essential management concepts to real world business challenges and successfully combines theory with practice. Students are encouraged to co-create their experience over the course of two years and this results in outstanding leadership development opportunities,” said Gautam Rao, Director of Soft Skills India Pvt. Ltd and a city-based alumnus of Ross.

The alumni network of Ross School of Business is 38,000-strong and spread over 82 countries.

Notable Indians among them are Chairman of Procter and Gamble (India) Bharat Patel, COO and CFO of DCM Sumant Bharat Ram, Managing Director of TVS Santhanam and vice-chairman of GVK Industries Sanjay Reddy.
