Bank workers seek one more pension option

Special Correspondent

Management urged to take up compassionate appointments

HYDERABAD: The National Organisation of Bank Workers (NOBW) has urged the Indian Bank Association to concede its demand for providing one more option of pension to bank employees.

The organisation has urged the management to take up compassionate appointments, recruitment to all categories of posts in addition to putting a hold on the move to outsource major functions of the banks. The NOBW will wait for the outcome of the meeting of major bank unions with IBA on October 3 before deciding on the future course of action.

NOBW president Dinesh Kulkarni told reporters here on Sunday that organisation was expecting positive solutions.
