Vaiko’s reaction to stay order

CHENNAI: The general secretary of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Vaiko, reacting to the interim stay granted by the Supreme Court restraining the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) from going ahead with the bandh on October 1, said the whole Sethusamudram project has been handled in an improper manner.

In a statement, Mr. Vaiko felt that the project was necessary for the progress of the State, but he strongly condemned the manner in which the Chief Minister had handled the issue. — Special Correspondent
