Srikar scalps seven

HYDERABAD: A fine spell by Srikar (seven for four) helped Gowtham Model School record a convincing 204-run win over Model Mission School in the HCA under-15 inter-schools cricket tournament here.

The scores: Inter-schools (under-15) tournament: St. Andrew’s HS ‘B’142 for nine (B. Anirudh 51, Chanukya three for 26) bt HPS Ramanthapur 64 (Raviteja three for 21).

Shakunthala Memorial HS 97 (Chintal three for 22) lost to Mahabodhi Vidyalaya 98 for five.

International School 90 lost to Ramakrishna Vidyaniketan 91 for three.

Oakridge 125 (ShaikhWaheed three for 38) lost to Boys Town HS 127 for six (Shaik Wahed 60 not out, Anant five for 25).

Bhega’s HS 103 (Sainath 36) lost to St.Andrews HS ‘A’ 104 for three (G.H. Vihari 45, Y.Chaitanya Krishna 34).

DAV Safilguda School defeated Rajashree Vidya Mandir 25-13, 25-19 in the T. Gopal Trophy volleyball tournament for under-16 boys at Mushirabad Playground here.

Central is champion

Central Zone won the T. Rattaiah Trophy beating North Zone by 14 runs for its second win in the three-team round-robin in the ACA inter-zone one-day tournament at Kakinada on Friday.

The scores: Central Zone 177 for seven in 50 overs (Arjun Kumar 40) bt North Zone 163 for nine in 50 overs (S.V. Ramesh 56).

South Zone ‘A’ wins

South Zone ‘A’ defeated North Zone ‘B’ by two wickets in a league match of the ACA inter-zone under-19 tournament for the P. Narasimha Raju Trophy at Vizianagaram on Friday.

The other match between North Zone ‘A’ and South Zone ‘B’ was washed out due to rain.

The scores: North Zone B 98 for nine in 30 overs (Ajay 26) lost to South Zone B 99 for eight in 27.3 overs (Kiran Kumar 40).
