Air Deccan flight delayed

CHENNAI: The Kolkata-bound Air Deccan flight was delayed by five hours on Friday, leaving the passengers stranded at the Kamaraj domestic terminal here.

A.K. Venkatachalam, one of the passengers, charged that the airline did not inform the passengers of the delay.

A majority of the passengers had come to Chennai to undergo treatment and they were unable to bear the waiting time at the airport, he said.

The scheduled departure time of the flight was 5.55 a.m. and it took off only around 11 a.m., the passengers said.
