ERODE: Tamil Nadu Government under the Police Modernisation Programme has granted a Mobile Portable Emergency lamp for the Erode District Police.
During VIP visits or other important public meetings, demonstrations or road roko during the night time, it is very difficult for the police to monitor the situation owing to lack of light.
To overcome such difficulties, the State Police under the modernisation programme has granted a portable, mobile emergency lamp with 400 watt power bulb. The police said a mini generator has been installed in the lamp and it can be carried easily to any place. The lamp can be raised up to fifteen feet high.
The cost of the lamp same is Rs 1.56 lakh and the Superintendent of Police Ms. Sonal V. Misra on Thursday handed it over to the Armed Reserve.
