Prabhu shines

An all-round performance by K. Prabhu (69 runs and six for 32) helped Karapettai Nadar HSS defeat Government HSS (Sivaiaperi) by 10 runs in the TDCA inter-school Trophy cricket tournament at Tuticorin on Friday.

The scores: Karapettai Nadar HSS 160 in 20.1 overs (K. Prabhu 69, Arumugam three for 22) bt Govt. HSS (Sivaiaperi) 150 in 24 overs (T. Murugan 41, P.S. Raja three for 26, K. Prabhu six for 32).

Govt. HSS (Vilathikulam) 109 in 18.5 overs (Sivaram four for 23) lost to Sri Ramakrishna Chidambareswar HSS (Udangudi) 110 for one in 14.1 overs (Ramkumar 36 not out, Suresh Kumar 36 not out).

Lady Doak triumphs
