Indore: A local court on Thursday issued bailable warrants against actor Aamir Khan and car showroom owners Ashok Rajpal and Rakesh Rajpal for allegedly showing disrespect to the national flag here on August 16.
Eleven national flags were hoisted atop the showroom of a leading car maker at a function, where Mr. Khan was the chief guest. When journalists drew the attention of the showroom owners to the tricolour remaining hoisted even after sunset, the flags were pulled down in a “derogatory manner” and they lay on the floor in violation of the national flag code.
Following a complaint filed by an advocate, the first class judicial magistrate court issued the warrants against the three and directed them to appear on October 12. — PTI
