CAK ‘pardons’ G.N. Gopal

KOZHIKODE: G.N. Gopal, at the centre of a controversy in Kerala chess following his recent statements against the Chess Association-Kerala (CAK), has been ‘pardoned’, according to a release from CAK here on Thursday.

CAK, which had threatened to take action against the player, now has decided “to encourage” him.

Gopal had written to CAK apologising for his conduct. — Principal Correspondent
