NEW DELHI: Japanese technology major Wacom Company Ltd. on Friday launched a pen tablet called Bamboo Fun, an advanced input device for drawing, painting, sketching, writing and retouching photographs on a computer. Bamboo Fun has been launched in two sizes — the small-sized pen tablet (size 210 x 194 x 11 mm) is priced at Rs. 6,999, while the medium-sized (280 x 235 x 11 mm) comes with a Rs. 9,999-price tag. \ All models include a precision, wireless mouse to be used with the tablet. The new product comes with three software — painting application Corel Painter Essentials 3, premium photo editing software Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 with medium-sized Bamboo Fun tablets and Ulead PhotoImpact 12 SE with small-sized tablets. Bamboo Fun carries a Microsoft certification of ‘Certified for Vista.’ However, each tablet also supports Macs. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Wacom’s India representative Anil Chandna said the new pen tablets were ideal for consumers keen to develop their creative skills and amateur photographers.
