VISAKHAPATNAM: Sixteen boys and girls from Visakhapatnam district have been selected to receive the Sports Authority of India scholarships for their good performance in the State and National sports meets. K. Jagannadham, P. Venkataramana (ball badminton), D. Malleswari, K. Kalyani, K. Nirmala (weightlifting), N. Tejaswani, T. Ajay (athletics), Ch. Mohineesh, M. Gomini Shreya, G. Neela Lohit, G. Aiswarya (chess), Ch. S.S.V. Ramana (table tennis), Ch. Mounica, M. Udaya Bhaskar (badminton), D. Sai Nishanth and N. Sai Karthik (tennis) have been selected for the SAI awards. These 16 from Visakhapatnam and the winners from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts have to report at the office of SAI-STC, Port indoor stadium, on the National Highway near Akkayyapalem at 10.30 a.m. on Friday. They have to produce the original receipt of acknowledgement signed by him or her along with identity proof and other relevant documents, according to the District Sports Development Officer N. Surya Rao.
