NEW DELHI: Twelve places have been reserved for Indian professionals in the EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters golf tournament to be held at the Eagleton Resort, Bangalore, from December 5 to 8. Co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI) and the Indian Golf Union, the inaugural tournament will have prize money of €200,000. “The tournament will feature a galaxy of superstars and it could well mark the beginning of a golfing revolution in India at a time when India is emerging as one of the world’s favoured destinations for investment, business and tourism,” William Rattazzi, CEO, EMAAR-MGF, said at the formal launch of the event here on Wednesday. Champika Sayal, Secretary-General, WGAI, said: “it’s a historic day for women’s golf in India and we are ready to host an event of this scale.” — Special Correspondent
