NAMAKKAL: The Gnanamani College of Technology, Pachal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the HCL Infosystems Limited on Thursday to enable students to acquire knowledge on the latest developments in Information Technology sector. College Chairman Arangannal and HCL Regional Head, Regional Customer Engineer and Manager Sabu M. Paul signed in the MoU at a function held in the college. According to the MoU, the HCL will arrange for seminars on latest developments in the IT field for students at the college premises and send experts.
The firm will also help students develop interpersonal skills.
The HCL will also allow the students of the college to visit its manufacturing facility in Puducherry. HCL officials will help students learn various processes including quality control systems, inventory control systems and the system software integration during the visit, a press release said. The firm will offer techno-commercial solutions for the college and conduct campus recruitments, the release added.
The College, according to the MoU, will consider HCL as the preferred supplier for its IT requirements.
