KRP attains full capacity

Krishnagiri: The Krishnagiri Reservoir Project (KRP) attained its Full Water Level (FRL) of 52 feet on Thursday following heavy rain in the Thenpennaiar catchment areas in Karnataka. With the reservoir registering heavy inflows since Wednesday evening, surplus water is being released into the Barur tank. PWD officials pointed out that the inflow increased to 1,211 cusecs on Thursday as against 816 cusecs on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, the district administration has asked people living on the river banks to move to safer areas.
