Matches washed out

VIJAYAWADA: The first day’s play in the ACA inter-zonal u-19 matches between South Zone ‘B’ and Central ‘A’ and South Zone ‘A’ and Central Zone ‘B’ held at Vizianagaram’s M.R. College grounds and Vizzi Stadium respectively, were washed out due to heavy rain on Monday.

All the four matches of Krishna District Cricket Association’s inter-college tournament here failed to take off due to incessant rain on Monday. KDCA secretary Koka Ramesh said matches scheduled for Tuesday were cancelled due to the soggy outfield at all the venues.
