Indian swimmers dominate

BANGALORE: Indian swimmers continued to dominate in the South Asian swimming championship at Islamabad.

Aaron D’Souza won the 200m butterfly and the 1500m freestyle in 16:59.34s.

Aaron also was a member of the Indian quartet which won the 4x100m medley.

The other Indian swimmers to strike gold were J. Agnishwar (200m breaststroke) and Praveen Tokas (200m backstroke), both in the open section.

In the age group events, the gold medallists were Saurabh Ramdas Sangevekar (200m freestyle), Gopinath Kayal (50m butterfly), Shamu Singh (50m breaststroke) and the relay team (4x100m freestyle).
