Rupee moves up further

MUMBAI: Buoyed by comfortable foreign investment flow into the equity market, the rupee on Friday closed ten paise stronger at a four-week high of 40.69/70 a dollar, extending its surge to the third straight day.

The Indian unit resumed firm at 40.72/74 against Thursday’s close of 40.7950/8050.

The rupee has gained about 28 paise in three days. — PTI
