NEW DELHI: A Group of Ministers (GoM) looking into spectrum allocation on Friday decided to form a technical assessment committee to identify the areas where frequency can be vacated by the Defence Ministry.

They will look after the areas where spectrum will be vacated. Those areas will be identified and thereafter the next step will be taken,” Union Telecom Minister A. Raja told presspersons.
Headed by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, the GoM meeting was attended by Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram and Defence Minister A. K. Antony besides Mr. A. Raja. — PTI
