Ben Kingsley weds

London: Sir Ben Kingsley, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Mahatama Gandhi, has secretly married a Brazilian actress little more than half his age. This is his fourth marriage. Sir Ben (63) married 34-year-old Daniela Barbose de Carneiro on Monday. The couple had been dating for a year after being introduced by mutual friends in Hollywood. Instead of going on a honeymoon, Daniela will accompany Sir Ben on the shoot of his new film “The Love Guru” in Canada. Sir Ben dismissed their age difference and spoke effusively about his young bride. “Without sounding pompous, she looks like a combination of ancient Egypt and ancient Rome,” the veteran said. — PTI
