Patna: A supply inspector Umesh Kumar Sinha was on Friday arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.5000 from a kerosene oil vendor Mohammad Onib in Bihar’s Buxar district.
Sinha was arrested by vigilance sleuths from his office at Buxar for accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 for issuing the licence for kerosene oil vending, official sources said.
He would be presented before the special vigilance judge on Saturday after interrogation.
Altogether 159 people including senior government officials have been arrested in 136 trap case laid by the State vigilance bureau since august 2006, the sources said.
