Punjab survey to identify educated jobless

Faridkot: Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal on Saturday launched a survey to identify the educated unemployed youths in the State to generate better sources of income for them.

Mr. Badal said special teams of senior officers had been deployed to complete the work at the earliest. Lashing out at the previous Congress Government led by Captain Amarinder Singh, he alleged that Capt. Singh had left the State exchequer indebted over 53,000 crores of rupees.

He said the State Government would raise funds from various sources to improve the State’s economic condition. The Chief Minister promised uninterrupted power supply to all sections of the society and to recruit more than 17,000 teachers shortly. Reiterating his commitment for the opening of Adarsh Schools at each Assembly constituency, Mr. Badal said a plan had been mooted to start modern Skill Centres.
