HYDERABAD: Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs were rushed to the National Academy of Construction (NAC) at Hitex in Madhapur on Wednesday after an anonymous person rang up the landline phone and said, “bomb in NAC.”
The caller hung up after saying these words. The security guard at the reception, who answered the call around noon, got confused and alerted his bosses.
On being told about the call, the Madhapur police rushed to the spot and searched every inch of the NAC premises only to realise the call was an act of a mischief monger.
Another scare
In an another incident at S.R. Nagar, hundreads of locals gathered at the bridge on the ‘nala’ near Satyam theatre on seeing a bag hung to a roadside building wall.
They mistook it for a bomb and called in the police.
Empty bag
The bomb disposal squad took the bag to an open ground, opened it and found it empty. The police believe a prankster deliberately hung the empty bag onto the wall to create panic among people.
