Gagare beats Koushik

NEW DELHI: Shardul Gagare (five points) defeated compatriot Girish Koushik to open a one-point lead in the boys’ under-10 section of the Asian Youth chess championship at Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates, on Sunday.

Artur Jussupow scored his third straight victory as Experience hit back to down Rising Stars 3.5-1.5 in the fifth round of the NH chess tournament in Amsterdam.
