COLOMBO: Condemning the latest Hyderabad blasts, Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa has offered assistance in combating terrorism in South Asia . In a message to President Pratibha Patil, the Mr. Rajapaksa said, “Sri Lanka being a victim of terrorism, largely funded and armed by external sources, understands well the pain and grief of the victims of this senseless violence, and the threat to social cohesion and democracy caused by such acts of terrorism.” Reiterating the commitment of his Government in assisting to combat terrorism in the South Asian region, Mr. Rajapaksa expressed solidarity with the Indian Government and its people in the efforts to overcome the increasing challenge posed by terrorism.
