Applications invited

CHENNAI: Applications are invited for the Rani Lady Meyyammai Achi Birthday Commemoration Award instituted by the Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Memorial Trust for an institution that has rendered yeoman service for the upliftment of women or to a woman who has worked to promote women’s upliftment and education.

The award, which will be presented on October 11, carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. Applicants may send in details on or before September 15 to the Secretary, Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Memorial Trust, Rani Seethai Hall, 601, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600 006. Those who applied the previous year may also apply this year, says a release. — Special Correspondent
