Head of Brahmakumaris passes away

JAIPUR: The head of the Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, passed away at the organisation’s global headquarters in Mount Abu in Sirohi district of Rajasthan on Saturday.
Dr.Prakashmani, who was a spiritual leader with thousands of followers all over the world, suffered a brain hemorrhage two days back. She was taken to Ahmedabad in Gujarat for treatment, but was brought back to Mount Abu. The death took place around 10.05 a.m.
Born in Hyderabad-Sindh in 1922, Dr.Prakashmani reached Mount Abu in 1950 to set up Madhuban. The sect, which now has 6,000 centres in 80 countries, witnessed its expansion and growth during her leadership. Dr.Prakashmani, who preached rajyoga, toured as many as 60 countries for delivering discourses in yoga and Indian spirituality.
