BHUBANESWAR: As a homage to the legendary Italian filmmaker Michelangelo Antonioni who passed away earlier this month, Film Society of Bhubaneswar has announced special screening of the maestro’s classics on August 26 evening at Jayadev Bhawan auditorium. FSB coordinators said the special screening would be preceded by a talk on Antonioni by former Pune Film and Television Institute of India professor Nirad Mohapatra. It will be followed by screening of the late legend’s "La Notte" (The Night) made in black and white in 1961. Earlier, FSB will screen a film from Kyrgyzstan "Beshkempir - The Adopted Son" directed by Aktan Abdykalykov. The 81-minute feature film in both black and white and colour was made in 1998. In the next phase, FSB would arrange screening of films by Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman, one of the great masters of world cinema, who also passed away this month, it was learnt.
