VIJAYAWADA: The Government of India has sent a three-member delegation to Kuala Lumpur to observe the conduct of the ongoing World Badminton Championship, according to Badminton Association of India (BAI) secretary L.C. Gupta. In a press release, Mr. Gupta said the committee comprising former Indian coach Dr. Vijai Sinha (Lucknow), international umpire K.Ch. Punnaiah Chowdary (Hyderabad) and the Delhi-based senior IAS officer Prabhath Chaturvedi would interact with the organisers, officials, players and collect data on all arrangements being made there. It would help India while organising the next World Cup and Commonwealth Games at New Delhi in 2009 and 2010 respectively, he said. — Sports Reporter
