SAC, Rosario triumph

MANGALORE: St. Aloysius College ‘A’ (Mangalore), Rosario PU College (Mangalore) and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangalore (Panambur), triumphed in the college, pre-university and high school sections respectively in the Independence Cup football tournament here on Wednesday.

While St. Aloysius pipped Tippu Sultan 3-2 in tie-breaker after both teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time, Rosario got the better of Govindadasa (Suratkal) 2-1 and KV Mangalore edged out St. Aloysius 1-0.
