TIRUCHI: Host Paventhar Bharathidasan CET defeated Sri Angalamman College of Engineering 26-10 and entered the semifinals of the Anna University inter-collegiate (zone VIII) basketball tournament here on Monday.

The results:

Quarterfinals: PAB CET 26 (Jones 8) bt Sri Angalamman College of Engineering 10; Saranathan Engineering College 32 (Nanda 18) bt JJ CET 28 (Karthik 13).
