Bangalore: Host KSCA XI defeated Hyderabad CA by 133 runs in the KSCA all-India invitation tournament semifinals that concluded at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Sunday. Chasing KSCA XI’s 466 on the second and final day, only a 146-run second-wicket partnership between Shashank Nag (138, 233b, 13x4, 1x6) and Anoop Pai (63) saw Hyderabad CA put up some resistance.
After their dismissals, the rest caved in with a mix of big hits and mistimed shots, Hyderabad CA was eventually bowled out for 333 in 84.1 overs. In the other semifinal at the RSI Ground, KSCA President’s XI defeated TNCA XI by 40 runs. Chasing 300, TNCA XI could only score 260 in 72.5 overs. Ashwin and Srinivas scored 93 and 84 for TNCA. The final between KSCA XI and KSCA President’s XI will be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on August 14 and 15. The scores (semifinals): KSCA XI 466 for five in 100 overs bt Hyderabad CA 333 in 84.1 overs (Shashank Nag 138, Anoop Pai 63). KSCA President’s XI 300 in 99.4 overs bt TNCA XI 260 in 72.5 overs (R. Ashwin 93, R. Srinivas 84).
